Long-Term Care Insurance Product Updates

Long-Term Care Insurance Product Updates Effective June 3, 2024, the Maximum Monthly Benefit will increase from $10,000 to $15,000 on our MutualCare Solutions long-term care products! This will allow clients to access additional benefits if needed and provide a greater sense of security if a long-term care event occurs. Monthly benefit amounts range from $1,500 to $15,000 per month with this new increase*. The total Maximum Monthly Benefit, including long-term care coverage from other companies, will also increase to $15,000. South Carolina Tobacco Rating Change and Customer Refunds

Tobacco rating changes have been made in the state of South Carolina. The State of South Carolina has provided us with additional clarification on how we should be using the Tobacco rating during Open Enrollment (OE) and Guaranteed Issue (GI) situations on the Mutual of Omaha block of business. Moving forward, we will no longer be using Tobacco rating during OE/GI situations. We have updated our materials and internal system with this change. Please note that Illumifin has changed its email address domain from ltcg.com to illumifin.com. All emails sent to illumifin employees using “@ltcg.com” will be forwarded to the illumifin.com domain until August 21st, 2024. On this date, the ltcg.com email domain will shut down permanently and emails will no longer be forwarded. The format of illumifin employee email addresses has also changed. Helpful Hint: Understanding the Limited Duration Inflation Options on Winflex Illustrations

Reminder: When using Winflex Web to quote our LTC products, please keep in mind as you review the illustration output that for any of our limited-duration inflation options, inflation is not applied until policy year 2. For example, if you choose a 20-year inflation protection duration, inflation would be applied every year during policy years 2-21 to hit the 20-year mark. It’s also important to note that Winflex’s illustration only shows in 5-year increments.
