New Authorization for Release of Individual Tax Return Transcript Form

United of Omaha has previously asked for tax returns and 3rd party verified financials when a client was applying for a life insurance policy with a face amount exceeding $5 million. Beginning March 1, 2020, a new Authorization for Release of Individual Tax Return Transcript form and an IRS 4506T-EZ form will now need to be filled out and signed by the client when applying for a United of Omaha life insurance policy when the face amount exceeds $5 million. The authorization form will automatically be included when downloading an IRS 4506T-EZ form on our Sales Professional Access producer website.

Paper Application Submission via Email

In November, we streamlined the submission process for all Life products and Health products (excluding Medicare Supplement, Medicare Advantage, Prescription Drug Plans and Long Term Care) by introducing the ability to submit paper applications and additional requirements via email. As a reminder, when utilizing the email options to submit either new business or additional requirements: Attachments must be in TIF or PDP file format (pictures are not accepted) Emails or attachments cannot be password protected Email subject lines must include either “New App” or the Policy Number “XXXXXXXXX” Multiple attachments must be for the same case file in the email

LTC Commission Timing and No Cash with Application Update

Beginning February 23, compensation will be paid at the time the first premium payment is received, all Post Issue Requirements (PIRs) are complete and the case is considered placed. Applications signed on or after this date will be effective on the date the policy is issued. Date of application will no longer be a coverage effective date option. As we implement these changes, there are important dates and details to remember: February 23, 2020 Policies issued will be effective on the date of issue.
