As you know, we’re transitioning to a new enhanced contracting process for Aetna MA/MAPD products. We’re extremely excited about the efficiencies this new process will bring (e.g., it’s going to exponentially shorten and simplify the entire contracting process). To help ensure a successful rollout, we’re moving the start date for the new contracting process from June 17 to July 1. Please note that we adjusted the other project dates accordingly. Action required by members who requested to have their premiums withheld by SSA/RRB in 2019 We want to notify you about an issue affecting all Medicare members who elected to pay plan premiums from their Social Security Administration (SSA) or Railroad Retirement Board (RRB) check. Normally, when members select this premium payment option, the SSA/RRB withholds funds from members’ SSA/RRB checks to cover their plan premiums. Unfortunately, due to a system issue, SSA/RRB did not withhold premiums for two or more months starting February 1, 2019. This issue affected all carriers.
