Simple ways to discuss extended care planning

Discussing long-term care planning doesn’t need to be challenging. Establishing the need to have a strategy, and an affordable way to fund that strategy, can be done through simple conversations. Thrivent has created simple scripts that establish the need to create a Written Plan for Extended Care and introduce the concept of co-funding that plan. Download the scripts and watch for future emails sharing how the scripts and the written plan fit into our new Foundational Plan approach to extended care. This resource can be downloaded below, or it can be found on TFLTCStore.com or on iPipeline’s FormsPipe.   Download

Stop Talking About Nursing Homes!

Stop Talking About Nursing Homes! Focusing extended care planning discussions on home care works better, a veteran trainer says. The subject line was “Digital Client Servicing Support dashboard has been shared with you” and was meant for an internal Thrivent IT team. The dashboard referenced is not a long-term care insurance system and cannot be accessed outside of Thrivent. If you received that message in error, there is nothing you need to

Licensing reminder—Plan ahead for states requiring preappointment or a fraternal license While Thrivent has just in time appointment for most states, there are three states where an agent must be appointed before taking an app. There are also four states that require an advisor to have a fraternal license to sell Thrivent products. Appointments: Thrivent currently requires pre-appointments in GA, PA and WI. Fraternal Licenses: Four states (CT, DE, MA and NM) require a Fraternal License prior to being appointed with Thrivent. Obtaining a fraternal license is relatively easy and requires only a nominal fee. Please allow for additional time

Documenting a written strategy for extended care As you may know, long-term care insurance isn’t the plan—insurance might help pay for the plan.
