Maryland Update – Long Term Care Partnership Disclosure

Insurance producers who offer or sell long-term care insurance policies or contracts must: Advise an individual considering the purchase of long-term care insurance, about the availability and benefits of a policy that qualifies under the Qualified State Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership; Provide a disclosure statement, approved by the Commissioner, to each applicant for long-term care insurance about the Qualified State Long-Term Care Insurance Partnership; and Maintain records demonstrating that the required disclosure statement was provided to each applicant for long term care insurance and make the disclosure statement available to the Insurance Commissioner for inspection. New Withdrawal/Surrender Request Form for Internal Replacements

Effective December 1, 2017 we will now require the Withdrawal/Surrender Request form  WithSurr0917 to be completed and sent to New Business when doing an Internal Replacement of an existing policy. This form is required prior to printing any internal replacement policy and is only required on non-1035 applications. It is available for download on TAANI under Forms Finder. It can also be attached and submitted with the application in iGO.
