New Critical Advantage Portfolio to Release Feb. 1, 2017
On Feb. 1, 2017, Mutual of Omaha will be releasing a new Critical Illness, Cancer, Heart Attack and Stroke portfolio: Critical Advantage. Critical Advantage is a Critical Illness, Cancer, Heart Attack, and Stroke insurance policies that provides a lump-sum benefit upon diagnosis. The current Critical Illness and Critical Illness at Work policies will no longer be available starting February 1, 2017. They will be replaced by the Critical Advantage portfolio. At United of Omaha and Companion, we offer Accelerated Death Benefits for Terminal Illness and Chronic Illness. These riders give clients an option to access a portion of their death benefit early. This money can provide a little more comfort during a difficult time or can be used to help cover the costs of long-term care. For the Chronic Illness Rider, the benefit amount is capped each year by the IRS per diem limit.
