New Medicare Supplement Plan in Indiana

Effective May 25, 2018, you may begin selling our new competitively priced Medicare supplement in Indiana underwritten by United World Life Insurance Company an affiliate of Mutual of Omaha.

Besides the new low rates on our popular Plans F and G, we offer:

  • Plans High Deductible F and Plan N
  • Anniversary rating

Household Discount
The household discount for Indiana Medicare supplement underwritten by United World will be 7%. Your client may qualify if:

  • He or she resides with a spouse or civil union partner or has continuously resided for the past 12 months with as many as three household members; and
  • The spouse, civil union partner or household member either has an existing Medicare supplement plan with or is also applying for and is issued coverage with Mutual of Omaha or an affiliate

Note: The 12% household discount for individuals in Indiana for policies underwritten by Omaha Insurance Company will not change.
 
e-App Processing
Application for the United World product will be available on e-App effective 05/25/2018. Upon its availability the Med supp e-App for the Omaha Insurance Company product will no longer be available. (Click for more information)

Compensation
Commission schedules are available on your Sales Professional Access (SPA) account at www.mutualofomaha.com/broker. Please contact GoldenCare at 800-842-7799 if you have any questions regarding your commission schedule.

Conversions:  All Medicare supplement policies are issued according to the underwriting company noted on the Medicare supplement application. Should your client wish to convert to another policy (from one Mutual affiliate to another), you must complete all applicable conversion paperwork, including your client’s signed authorization, and submit that to us. Be aware that conversions are subject to underwriting.

Agent of Record:   According to agent of record rules, commissions for Mutual of Omaha or its affiliate Medicare supplement replacements will be paid only when the original writing producer sells the replacement policy.

Materials are available to view/download on SPA in the Forms and Materials section and application books can be ordered through normal channels. The outline of coverage is available as a stand alone form on SPA.

Prospecting materials — including letters, newspaper ads and postcards featuring rates — have been filed with the state for approval. Once approved, the items are available on SPA in Forms and Materials  under Prospecting.
