March 1 authentication nearing, Check your listed email

Extra data protection beginning March 1,
Check your login email address today!

NGL is happy to be taking extra measures to provide an extra layer of data protection for you and your clients!

Soon you will be asked to complete a one-time authentication of your device(s) prior to logging into MyNGLIC.com. You may have already head this experience with other companies such as your bank or email provider; the industry term for this process is Multi-Factor Authentication.

What is Multi-Factor Authentication?  Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) is a method of computer access control in which a user is granted access only after successfully presenting several separate pieces of evidence to an authentication mechanism – typically at least two of the following categories: knowledge (something they know), possession (something they have), and inherence (something they are).

How will NGL be adopting this and what does that mean to you?  This means MyNGLIC.com users will need to authenticate the devices they use to access MyNGLIC.com.

  1. The first time you log into MyNGLIC.com after March 1, you will be asked to authenticate your device.
  2. To complete this easy authentication process, you will be sent an authentication link to the email address in your MyNGLIC.com profile. Verify you have access to your current listed email so you will be able to authenticate your devices.
  3. Once you click on the link sent to your email inbox your device is authenticated! You only have to authenticate your devices once and you are all set and secure!

In case you need email options, next week your MyNGLIC.com profile will list two email fields — one for your correspondence and one login email address for this authentication process.
