A rate adjustment for Illinois has been approved. There is an 8% rate increase for Plans A, C & F. There is a 7% rate increase for Plan G. There is a 5% rate increase for Plan N. All other plans have a 0% rate increase. Click here to view / print the new rates.

The rates are effective for any new business with a signature date of August 1, 2017 or later requesting an effective date of August 1, 2017 or later.

Please refer to the points below to determine which rates should be applied for new applications:

• All Medicare Supplement applications requesting an effective date before  August 1, 2017 will receive the current 7-1-16 rates.
• Any Medicare Supplement application signed before  August 1, 2017 requesting an effective date of August 1, 2017, or later, will receive the current 7-1-16 rates.
• Any Medicare Supplement application signed on  August 1, 2017, or later, requesting an effective date of August 1, 2017 or later, will receive the new 8-1-17 rates.
• Any Medicare Supplement application re-dated on or after  August 1, 2017 will receive the new 8-1-17 rates.
