Improvements to Automated Underwriting

Since we launched Automated Underwriting for Living Promise e-Applications in November, over 2,300 agents have used the instant decision tool and over 8,300 clients have experienced the benefits of our intuitive system.

Overall, we have been very pleased with the deployment and the approval rates speak for themselves. During the past couple of weeks, 65% of applications submitted were instantly approved and 77% of the referred cases were approved after review.

As with any new system, there are opportunities for improvements. We appreciate your constructive feedback and are working on enhancements to the system.

We’d like to provide you with an update on some of the recent enhancements/fixes and tips to improve your experience with the Living Promise e-App.

Recent Enhancements/Fixes

  • After completing the HIPAA signature, you are now able to move around the e-App screens without losing access to the underwriting questions. As a reminder, all questions must be answered before submission.
  • The “next” button was randomly missing after completing the HIPAA signatures, this has been corrected.

Tips to Improve Your e-App Experience

  • Complete the e-App screens in the order they are presented. This ensures all questions are answered and information is accurately saved.
  • After you have captured the HIPAA signature, pause for 5-10 seconds before moving to the next screen; this allows the instant decision tool to gather all the necessary information and ensures the most accurate underwriting decision.

We appreciate your patience through this process. We want to assure you that we will continue to make ongoing enhancements to improve the experience for you and your customers.

Look for ongoing communication regarding Automated Underwriting updates each week in Express to keep you informed of our progress.
