On Friday, July 3, one of our approved paramedical companies, Examination Management Services Inc. (EMSI), announced they were ceasing operations effective immediately. This closure impacts exams and APSs ordered by the agent through EMSI.
Please note: This does not impact exams and APSs ordered by the Mutual of Omaha home office since those are ordered through ExamOne.
What You Need to Do:
Any exams that were scheduled by the agent through EMSI will need to be rescheduled using one of the approved paramedical companies listed below. If your client has an exam scheduled with EMSI, it is important to let your client know as soon as possible that his or her appointment is cancelled and to contact ExamOne or APPS to schedule a new exam time. In addition, any APSs that were ordered by the agent through EMSI will need to be reordered.

The EMSI closure was immediate and unexpected. If your client recently had an exam completed by EMSI and the exam is still listed as a pending requirement, it is unlikely that we will be able to obtain the results of these exams. We encourage you to contact your client, explain the situation and have a new exam ordered through one of our approved paramedical companies.
