When your client has a medical condition, it does not necessarily mean they won’t be considered for Disability Income Insurance. Here are some common medical conditions that can still be covered.
Alcohol and Drug Addiction — client may be considered five years post treatment, if there is no alcohol or drug use of any kind and has no arrests, additional treatment or related health conditions.
Sleep Apnea — clients will be considered two years post diagnosis with well-controlled condition if they are following prescribed treatment or treatment is no longer needed.
Weight Issue — ratings are based on our build chart and we will consider any weight loss your clients have had in the last year. If your client has been at their current weight and stable at least one-year, underwriting decision will be based on current weight.
