Upcoming rate adjustment for Med Supp

Effective April 1, 2024, there will be a rate adjustment for Med Supp policies underwritten by Lumico Life Insurance Company (Lumico) in select states.

For OR only

  • New policies will continue to be underwritten by Lumico in Oregon. Please note the following cut off dates:
    • Applications signed on or after 3/1/24, with a requested effective date on or after 4/1/24, will be subject to the new rate.
    • Applications signed on or before 2/29/24, with a requested effective date on or after 4/1/24, will receive the current rate.

For AL, KS, MD, UT and VA

  • In AL, KS, UT and VA, rate adjustments affect closed Lumico block of business and new business may be submitted on Elips Life paper.
  • In MD, rate adjustments affect closed Lumico block of business.
