Ohio Governor had declared a State of Emergency on May 28, 2019 for Greene, Mercer and Montgomery counties, and any other counties that subsequently declare an emergency due to dangerous and damaging conditions resulting from the severe weather and tornadoes. The Ohio Department of Insurance issued a Bulletin 2019-03, dated May 29, 2019, to comply with the State of Emergency.

The Bulletin, in part states the following:

• Requires insurance companies to grant an extension of the grace period for sixty days beginning on May 28, 2019 and continuing until July 28, 2019 for policyholders residing within the impacted areas.
• This includes a moratorium on policy cancellations due to non-payment of premium. The moratorium is effective May 28, 2019 through July 28, 2019.
