The MutualCare Solutions underwriting guide has been revised to provide you with the most updated information about uninsurable medications and updated medical impairments and requirements. Updates are effective May 1, 2018.
Here are a list of new uninsurable medications that are on pages 22-24.

Some updated medical impairments you should take note of:
- ADD/ADHD (Page 26) — clarified Stable 1 year to Stable 1 year on one medication under preferred underwriting
- Amaurosis Fugax/Amnesia (Page 26) — Added One episode and Two episode classes
- Drug Abuse (Page 35) — Changed drug free guideline from 5 years to 3 years
- Hematuria (Page 37) — Added Chronic, stable, after 2 years, negative work up, meaning there is no underlying medical issue causing condition
- Sleep Apnea (Page 46) — guidelines have added Severe in compliance with treatment to individual consideration

Updated Underwriting Requirement:
Cognitive Assessment (Page 53) — Removed line indicating mandatory cognitive assessment if application is mailed.
