During the pandemic, federal policy kept everyone, including LTC recipients, on Medicaid whether they were eligible or not. Now as eligibility criteria are being applied again, the logistics of getting needed information to verify eligibility are creating havoc for LTC providers that need the Medicaid revenue that is not forthcoming. Yet another example of well-intentioned public policy having negative unintentional consequences.
