Year-end processing deadlines
Review important deadlines to help help ensure a successful year end and make your cases count for 2018 production.
Note: The OneAmerica Home Office will be closed after 2 p.m. ET on Monday, Dec. 24, and all day Tuesday, Dec. 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday.
2018 required minimum distribution (RMD) deadlines
If producers have clients who wish to take an RMD from a OneAmerica company policy, they must either set up an automatic RMD or request a one-time RMD by Dec. 20. This deadline ensures we can process all RMDs by year end. To request an automatic RMD withdrawal, producers must use form 8-18249 (Required Minimum Distribution Election). To request a one-time RMD, they must use form 8-17730 (Partial Withdrawal) and indicate “RMD request” on the form. To expedite handling, email the forms to policyservice@oneamerica.com. Note: An automatic RMD is not available on Annuity Care® II, III or Indexed Annuity Care®. Producers should call the Policy Service Contact Center at 1-877-999-9883 with questions about RMDs.
