“​In an announcement made late on April 19, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) Administrator Seema Verma said the agency will now be requiring skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) to report confirmed cases of COVID-19 to residents and families, as well as directly to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Specific details on how SNFs do this will be forthcoming later this week from CMS, according to an update by the American Health Care Association/National Center for Assisted Living (AHCA/NCAL).”
