Alabama LTC Partnership Update

1% and 2% compound inflation now qualify for Partnership. Thrivent worked with the Alabama Insurance Department to allow for 1% and 2% compound inflations to be eligible for the state partnership program. This was approved in November. This change will be retroactive to qualifying policies issued since 11/15/22 when Alabama ‘s approval was received. Existing policyholders who qualify will receive a notification of the partnership status of their policies. The Partnership Requirements grid has been updated, as well as the Solutions Studio illustration software. The link to upload the requirements will be located under the New Business Dropdown. You will be taken to this screen. You will need to enter the policy number, the name of the policyholder and upload the delivery requirements. Once the “Submit” button is selected, a pop up will generate letting you know the documents were transmitted to the NGL Long Term Care Administration Office.
