Q: How is the Restoration of Benefits being administered? A: After receiving facility care, or home health care benefits, if the insured has not received any benefits for 180 days, we will restore their benefit period to its original benefit period. This restoration of benefits is regardless of whether or not the insured has used their entire benefit period. Q: Why does the status for initial applications submitted by new agent’s read “Pending Agent appointment”? A: When new agents submit their 1st application, this is when the background check will be initiated. Background checks usually take 3-5 business days depending on the state. Rest assured, your applications are still being processed while we wait on the background check. Once the background check is completed, an update will occur in the ARC Agent Resource Center. ManhattanLife Update to OmniFlex STC in Mississippi

ManhattanLife’s OmniFlex Short-Term Care insurance plan was originally filed with the Mississippi state Department of Insurance based on a 50% Loss Ratio. Upon further review, the MS DOI communicated to ManhattanLife that, going forward, it requires the STC plans be at a 55% Loss Ratio. This change will actually REDUCE plan premiums for the consumer. Note the change in Loss Ratio does impact agent compensation as well. Commission for any OmniFlex STC policy already issued will remain at the original commission rate. Any OmniFlex STC policy written on or after September 20, 2023, will be paid at the 55% Loss
