Securian 2021 Year-End guidelines

Thank you for your continued business this past year. As we approach the end of 2021, please keep in mind the following dates and guidelines to ensure that all your business processes in a smooth and timely manner.

PLEASE NOTE: Given the current extended processing turnaround times, we are not able to guarantee that requests received during the last week of the year will have all requirements completed in time for the policy to be paid in 2021. Our service teams understand the importance of meeting this deadline and are operating at full capacity.

Recommended last day for Tele-UW and Medical Requirements

December 17

Last day for new business paper applications to give the best chance to receive compensation for 2021.

December 24

Securian Financial closed

December 27

Last day for new business eApps, policy issue requirements, product changes, conversions/exchanges and wiring money to give the best chance to receive compensation in 2021.

December 31

Last day to process business for 2021 compensation.

Last day for SecureCare Universal Life policies received no later than October 29 to receive the old guaranteed interest rate. Applications received no later than October 29 must be approved, issued and paid by 3 p.m. CST to receive the old rate. This is a regulatory requirement and no exceptions will be made.
