Mark Randall: The LTC Industry mourns the loss of one of its great leaders

Remembering Mark Randall

The LTC Industry mourns the loss of one of its great leaders.

GoldenCare is sorry to announce the loss of Mark Randall, an innovative voice in the Long-Term Care Insurance industry, a key leader, excellent teacher, and close friend. His influence continues today having trained many thousands of agents. Not only did he work with insurance companies to develop new products to address consumer needs, he also developed one of GoldenCare’s premier agent training and sales software kits, the LTC CEO. Mark was also instrumental in bringing his two brothers, Jon Randall and Tom Randall, into the industry.

Mark’s passion and driving force to help people continues to inspire everyone who knew him. We are saddened by the news and offer our condolences to his family. We too have lost a beloved member of our family.

A TRIBUTE TO MARK RANDALL FROM GOLDENCARE EXECUTIVES

In 1993 Mark Randall introduced himself and his training school to Lenny Anderson, owner of GoldenCare USA.  Mark’s knowledge of the insurance industry and his ability to deliver an entertaining training session were the basis for a long-term relationship with us.  With a zest that is unique to Mark, he studied the Long-Term Care Insurance industry from every angle and became a well-known authority with-in the industry.  Mark traveled the eastern half of the nation for us, conducting unforgettable training sessions for countless agents.  He developed presentations, software and other training tools to help agents help their customers. He was a very good employee and friend. We will miss the sparkle in his eye, his optimistic attitude and his well told tales. Our condolences to the Randall family at this great time of loss.

Mark Milton Randall

Mark Milton Randall passed away on December 6, 2018 at his home in Park Rapids. Mark was born on September 14, 1955 in Fergus Falls, MN to Milton and Marie (Herzog) Randall. He grew up in Fergus Falls with his siblings and graduated high school in 1973. He married Peggy (Resch) in 1977 in Park Rapids and they moved to Wadena with their two daughters. The family then moved to Fergus Falls until they returned to Park Rapids in 1984. Mark and his wife Peggy enjoyed playing foosball and shooting pool together for many years. He enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family. Mark was an avid hunter who grew up hunting with all of his brothers in the Fergus Falls area and taught his daughters and his grandson Cole to hunt at a very young age. He was a fisherman his entire life and it was his favorite way to spend his summers at the lake. Mark and his wife enjoyed collecting and polishing rocks over the last 10 years; it was quite a hobby for them. Mark was a natural born salesman and had a knack for telling a story. It could be true or completely far fetched but it would capture the attention of everyone in the room. Mark was the friendliest guy you could know and he always had time to talk to anyone or give an encouraging word. The constant jokester, he was always up for making you laugh. Mark worked for Holiday gas stations until he started in the insurance industry in 1978 as a successful multi-line agent. He worked for MSI insurance and then started Randall Training Schools in 1985; a nationwide training school. In 1993 Mark decided to put concentrated effort into mastering the field of long term care insurance with GoldenCare, where he worked alongside his brothers Jon and Tom. In 1993 he kicked off the successful QuickStart Training Program for GoldenCare career agents under his new training school Educational Concepts, INC (ECI); traveling and training agents nationwide over the years. Mark became recognized as one of the premiere authorities on long term care.
