Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom premiered on January 6, 1963, making this the 62nd anniversary of that premiere!
The beloved show was a pioneer in the nature/adventure genre, featuring wild encounters and insightful commentary from expert hosts, Marlin Perkins, Jim Fowler and Peter Gros. Since its debut, Wild Kingdom has engaged viewers with an exploration of wildlife and our natural world, and it remains one of the most loved and respected wildlife programs in television history.
