GWIC secure emails: New process and new look

For a few years, Great Western Insurance Company (GWIC®) has been using secure emails to share confidential information, like commission statements, with you to reduce the risk of sensitive data being distributed incorrectly. We recently updated the Secure Messaging Portal to use one-time passcodes to give you a more seamless access experience. The messages you will receive have a new design, and you will need to complete a few new steps.

The new look
Going forward, secure emails will look like the image below. Please click the “Read the message” button.

The new steps
When you click on the “Read the message” button, an email containing the one-time passcode will be sent to your email inbox. Click on the link within that email. It will take you to this screen:

IMPORTANT: Before you enter the one-time passcode, click the tiny box beside the phrase, “This is a private computer. Keep me signed in for 12 hours.” This will allow you to revisit the message as many times as you like within the 12-hour period without needing to request another passcode to log in.

Enter the passcode and click “Continue”. (The one-time passcode code is valid for 15 minutes. If you don’t use it within that period, you will need to revisit the original one-time passcode email and click on the link again to request a new code. You will then receive a new email with a new code.)

The option to use a single sign-on with your Outlook, Yahoo, or Gmail accounts will no longer be offered. You will need to enter your login credentials.
