At Equitable, our goal is to offer competitive products to help fulfill your clients’ financial needs and help build your business. As we continue to build our Annuity product lines and develop innovative products for the future, it gives us the opportunity to re-evaluate the products we offer to ensure our product portfolio remains competitive. Our sister company, Equitable National Life Insurance Company, continues to offer Medicare Supplement insurance and nothing stated herein changes our Equitable National sales and marketing.
We have made the difficult decision to discontinue the sales of the following products:
- CancerCare+ 571 (Cancer Policy)
- EquiCare® 790 (Short Stay Nursing Home Policy)
- CareChoices 792 (Short Stay Nursing Facility w/ Opt. Home Care Policy)
- EquiCash 3011 (Hospital Indemnity Policy)
Discontinuation is effective September 1, 2019. New applications must be signed on or prior to September 1, 2019 and received at the home office in good order on or prior to Monday, September 16, 2019. Starting today, we will not be accepting any benefit changes for existing inforce policies.
There are no changes to inforce policy coverage and benefits. There are also no changes to customer service and claims contacts.
