For all LTCi agents who took their initial 8-Hour Partnership Certification prior to October 2017:
 
Producer requirements for training continuation states:
"A four-hour refresher course must be completed every 2 years from the date the initial training was completed."
 
Please be sure you have completed the necessary ongoing training before submitting new long-term care business.

"As insurers undertake LTC actuarial assumption reviews in 2019, we believe those with outdated and less defendable assumptions will likely make adjustments to align with evolving industry experience and longer-term investment return assumptions, potentially leading to a decline in GAAP margins. Those insurers with insufficient or depleted margins would need to take earnings charges. As we have indicated previously, a small change in actuarial assumptions can significantly impact margins, and ultimately reserves, for a long- duration product such as LTC."

IUL Participation Rate and Cap Rate Changes
 
Effective November 10, 2019, we will be making changes to our participation rates and cap rates on our Income Advantage IUL and Life Protection Advantage IUL products. These rate changes will apply to newly issued policies, as well as to any in force policies with a segment that is created (with new premium dollars) or renews on November 10th.
