“Controlling your destiny”

Controlling your destiny,” by John O’Connor, McKnights LTC News

“Tuesday, millions of Americans will cast their ballots amid a political divide that feels wider than ever. To say there’s a lot at stake would be an understatement. Long-term care operators know all too well how those who control the levers of policy can impact everything — from staffing and reimbursement to compliance and oversight. So, it’s worth taking a moment to consider how each potential administration might affect your destiny.”

LTC Comment, Stephen A. Moses, President, Center for Long-Term Care Reform:

Elections matter. So it makes sense to see what John O’Connor, long-time editor of the McKnights LTC newsletters, thinks the consequences for LTC would be if one or the other of the leading political parties prevails tomorrow. Maybe it’s just me, but I discern a shift in John’s views toward a more free-market perspective and away from the dominant government regulatory role.
