Coming Soon – Enhancing our Critical Advantage eApp

Great news! Mutual of Omaha’s already easy-to-use Critical Advantage eApplication will soon be even more user-friendly. On Friday, April 15 we’ll be adding an ‘In Good Order Check’.

Previously, after completing all sections of the eApplication, you would move to the HIPPA Authorization step followed by the Signature Process and Submission.

Effective April 15, the enhanced flow will add a checkpoint between the HIPPA Authorization step and Submission. During this check, the application’s eligibility within the eApp will be determined based on:

  • Base coverage selected
  • Riders selected
  • Coverage duration / age requirements
  • Height/Weight requirements
  • Other Coverage questions (if applicable)
  • Health questions

NOTE: Regardless of the notification, Underwriting will still need to review submitted applications before a final approval is given.

Based on the information in the application, you’ll see one of the following types of messages:

  1. In Good Order (IGO) to Submit — information provided on the application WOULD NOT trigger a decline based on the checks above and a final decision will be made by Underwriting, upon review.
  2. Not In Good Order (NIGO) to Submit — information provided on the application WOULD trigger a decline for base coverage based on the checks above. This could appear for individual, individual with Child(ren), or Individual with Family base coverage.
  3. Not In Good Order (NIGO) to Submit (riders only) — information provided on the application would trigger a decline for RIDERS ONLY based on the checks above. If submitted, Underwriting may approve base coverage only upon review of the case.

Each message will provide two ways to proceed – ‘Continue to Signature’ and ‘I do not want to move forward’. Clicking the Continue to Signature option takes you to the beginning of the signature process. Clicking the ‘I do not want to move forward’ option will take you to the main screen of the Critical Advantage eApp and your case list.

If you have any questions about this enhancement, please reach out to your Sales Director or Account Executive.
