Annuity Care and Annuity Care II updates launching April 24

Last year, we made pricing updates to the Continuation of Benefit (COB) options on our Annuity Care and Annuity Care II products in certain approved states. On April 24, these same updates will go into effect in additional states, and we want to make sure you’re prepared. These changes reflect our commitment to good stewardship, the viability of our products and being there when our customers need us most.

 
Prepare for the changes

What’s changing: Annuity Care
In November of 2020, we adjusted the pricing of the Annuity Care COB benefits in certain states. On April 24, this same change will take place in Idaho, Louisiana, Mississippi and Washington, D.C.
 
What’s changing: Annuity Care II
In April and November of 2020, we adjusted the pricing of the Annuity Care II COB benefits in certain states. On April 24, this same change will take place in Idaho.
 
State approvals
The Annuity Care/Annuity Care II State Approvals tracking spreadsheet shows the most current state approval information for both changes. Note that this document will continue to be updated should we receive additional state approvals prior to the launch of these product updates.
 
Transition Rules
Friday, April 23, 2021, will be the last day to submit Annuity Care and Annuity Care II applications with the old rates, in states where the changes will be launched. Review the full transition timeline for details.
 
Training requirements
If you have already completed the required OneAmerica Product Training for Annuity Care/Annuity Care II, you will not need to complete a new course in order to sell these products.
