Bang the drums and blow the horns! Good news indeed! In our annual review with our analysts at A.M. Best and follow up call this past week in which they convey the rendering of the Rating Committee, Guarantee Trust received a well deserved rating upgrade. The minus (-) after our “A” has been removed and we are quite simply an “A” rated company.
Our last year as an “A” rated company was 1993 and in the early years of this century we were downgraded a number of times. Through consistently strong operating performances the past ten years and in developing an extremely strong balance sheet, we enjoyed several upgrades and in 2019 we were elevated to “A-“ which was a big deal. As we are a mid sized company writing a great deal of health premium we were led to believe any future positive rating changes were unlikely. Yet, our financial performances have continued to be very strong and it became difficult not to recognize us as being deserved of a an “A” rating. And so it is.
Thank you for representing Guarantee Trust and for your contribution to our success. It’s been an interesting journey from some very challenging years twenty years ago but we are now very pleased when you are working with your clients and prospects the company you are representing is recognized as an A.M. Best “A” rated insurance company. That’s a good thing and we will work hard to maintain your trust and confidence as we go forward.
