Transamerica Life Insurance Company remains committed to you and to the long term care insurance market. As such, it’s important that we modify our premium rates for new TransCare® II business to reflect actual claims experience by policyholders. These rate changes will also maintain consistency in our pricing across our product portfolio which will allow Transamerica Life Insurance Company to remain highly competitive within the marketplace.

These refreshed rates are exclusively for new sales of TransCare II in the state of Connecticut and will become effective 7 a.m. CT October 31, 2017.
 
Transition Deadlines
To receive old rates, applications must be submitted in good order by 9 p.m. CT on October 30, 2017.

For all Worksite Business that includes Connecticut employees, Service Group Request Forms, census data, and all associated requirements must be signed, in good order, and received by Transamerica no later than 9 p.m. CT on October 30, 2017 to receive TransCare II 2012 rates for Connecticut.

Open enrollment for groups must be submitted in good order by October 30, 2017 to receive TransCare II 2012 Connecticut rates. Groups already approved must complete their enrollments no later than December 31, 2017 in order to get TransCare II 2012 Connecticut rates. This means all Connecticut group applications must be signed by December 31, 2017 and submitted to the home office by January 15, 2018 in order to receive TransCare II 2012 Connecticut Rates.

Starting January 1, 2018, only new Connecticut rates will be available for all Worksite Business with no exceptions.

For TransCare II Association Business in the state of Connecticut, all applications must be both signed and submitted to the home office by 9 p.m. CT October 30, 2017 in order to get TransCare II 2012 rates for Connecticut. Any application received on October 31, 2017 or after will receive TransCare II 2016 Connecticut rates, without exception.
 
Previously saved quotes on TransQuote® will no longer be available starting 9 p.m. CT on October 31, 2017. Application packages and marketing materials are not changing at this time.
